Recycling & the environment

At Quik-snaps we do what we can to save the environment from the processes involved in photo processing.

This includes: Saving film containers for charities and other organizations. (You may also have seen a creative use for them as lights!);

The Bleach/Fix waste is pumped into a 1000ltr tank and taken away for re processing. This process also removes the silver that comes of film emulsion during processing to be re-used. (sorry not enough for silver-ware!!);

and when you leave us in a disposable 'single-use' camera for processing, the film is firstly removed to be processed, then the battery is removed to be used for non-priority jobs, and the body of the camera's are collected to be taken away to kodak who 'refurbish' the parts and what they can of the plastic surround to be re-used.
